At Great Plains Vision Center, patients receive complete pre- and post-operative care for LASIK, cataract, and other ocular surgeries.  Dr. Dewald works closely with leading cataract and retinal surgeons throughout Oklahoma to provide coordinated care and the best possible surgical outcomes.

Dr. Dewald offers a wide selection of contact lens options to fit every lifestyle and prescription. From daily disposables and monthly lenses to toric lenses for astigmatism, bifocal and colored contacts, patients have access to trusted brands like Biofinity, Air Optix, Acuvue Oasys, Proclear 1 Day, and Focus Dailies. He also specializes in advanced fits, including gas-permeable and custom lenses for conditions such as keratoconus or post-corneal transplant care.

Dr. Dewald recommends that children receive their first eye exam between six months and one year of age. Through the InfantSEE® program, these exams are offered at no cost and focus on detecting conditions such as lazy eye (amblyopia), crossed eyes (strabismus), tracking or focusing problems, and early eye disease. Early diagnosis allows for effective treatment and helps children develop healthy vision for life.

Vision therapy sessions are designed to improve eye coordination, tracking, and focusing skills. These programs can help both children and adults experiencing lazy eye, crossed eyes, headaches, eye strain, or reading difficulties. Each plan is tailored to enhance visual performance and overall quality of life.

Dr. Dewald is experienced in diagnosing and managing many eye conditions, including dry eye, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, cataracts, and glaucoma. He also provides treatment for eye injuries and safely removes foreign objects to ensure prompt, effective care when emergencies arise.

For patients with significant vision loss caused by conditions like macular degeneration or eye trauma, Dr. Dewald provides solutions to maximize remaining sight. Services include training and tools such as magnifiers, telescopic lenses, and reading aids — all designed to make daily activities easier and more enjoyable.
